The Benefits of Red Wine
The research is robust on why red wine is good for you. Scientists have found that red wine, in moderation, can help your heart. Red wine can help your heart thanks to antioxidants increasing levels of ‘good’ cholesterol and protecting your arteries from damage. One of those compounds is called trans-resveratrol and it’s been linked to everything from promoting circulation, energy and stamina, to muscle health.* – It even provides nutritional support for people challenged with obesity and diabetes.*
Now, a recent article in U.S. News & World Report on red wine looked at how a glass of red wine may help you live longer and be a big part of anti-aging. It looked at how resveratrol in red wine could help prevent cells from aging.
“The study in rodents found that when mice had a particular gene — SIRT1 — knocked out, or turned off, resveratrol had no effect on them. But tests of muscle tissue in mice with a normal SIRT1 gene that were given resveratrol found that the substance boosted mitochondrial function.
Mitochondria provide the energy that cells need to function. A decrease in mitochondrial energy production has been linked to a variety of diseases, including diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as to the aging process itself, said senior study author David Sinclair, a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School in Boston.”
The researchers cautioned that the amounts given to the mice would be similar to drinking 100 glasses of red wine a day. That’s of course a very unhealthy amount of wine to drink – and what if you want to get the benefits of red wine without drinking alcohol and sulfites?
There is a way to get the benefits of trans-reservatrol without consuming that much wine. Eniva’s ResVante Reserve is a highly specialized liquid dietary supplement with 99.9% pure trans-resveratrol at a clinically effective and potent concentration. One serving of ResVante Reserve contains the trans-resveratrol nutrient content equivalent of drinking 300 glasses of red wine. Imagine the anti-aging impact of that much red wine! Even more impressive, in statistically significant research data, Eniva’s ResVante Reserve has demonstrated SIRT1 gene activating properties in people. What is the SIRT1 gene? It’s a gene produces proteins that protect cells from inflammation and stress – two primary causes of aging.
And wine snobs – ResVante contains trans-resveratrol sourced from grapes in the wine country of France (not from inferior forms of potentially toxic knotweed sources).
Cheers to a healthier, younger you!
